Poppin’N’Lockin colour, studs and rhinestones … oh my! It must be Friday
TFFT TGIF! Captain’s Raptors’ log – it’s too bloody cold… and you might ask, “Why aren’t you wearing gloves, Dummy?” My response – My talons are my number one priority and I spend too much money on my existing accessories to then spend more money on accessories for my accessories. Seriously, Darlings. I’m devastated… and freezing. Although my nails are on point nothing new; so when my snap-frozen corpse is discovered, they can ID me by these bad boys… Wiggle Chilly Piggies, Deyam.
My last few looks have all been a little out there, and the upcoming ones are even more … out of my mind, out there. Ha, so these are officially the calm before the storm – you’ve been warned. Last wearable for sometime… Buckle up, B!tch – things are gonna get cray-cray *finger snaps*
Back to the this look, and it is something a little cheeky, with feminine accents to really make the colours POP. The fuchsia used isn’t actually a neon hue, it’s just a really rich vibrant colour – one of the colours near and dear to me. Fuchsia.
My Grandmother grew Fuchsias and every Christmas us kids were allowed to pick one branch, and it’d always choose the closed flowers and then as the days would progress my siblings flowers would start to wilt, mine would just be opening to bloom. If I could resist popping them… One of my happier childhood memories.
Pre-planning, B!tches, one thing Drag Queens have taught me – plan, plan, plan, tuck, apply make-up liberally, weave, plan.
To achieve this look – select a combo set comprising of a bright hue and a complimentary/similar shimmer. Apply the two shades, remember your feature talon! Now for all talons, excluding your thumb, select what studding detail you want – feel free to experiment. Pretend you’re in college and you’re a little Tri-curious. Start with a triangle of circles for the pinky, elongated rhombus on the ring finger, and different facing triangles for index and fore
talon finger. Thumb is a special child – remember the feature talon already has shimmer (but you could swap them), apply an AB rhinestone/crystal and surround with metal beads. I only had one haloed gem, but you could have threesomes! Sh!t, I meant group sex, F%$*! DIFFERENT GROUPINGS! *cough* just mix it up. You’re still young.
All finished – and no-one got hurt. Colour, check! Shimmer, check! Rhinestone, check! Lookin’ fabulous, Check! Fun and fresh, check! Freudian Slips larger than a Blue Whales Spanx, check!
So what you think, Darling? Share your experiences with the fabulous colour and studding.
