Space + Glitter + Neon (Gloss x Matte) = I’m a Glitter-fiend*
Also, fun fact – you can really crane you’re neck to get a sneaky gawk at night and even better with a telescope, unlike during the day – with that tempestuous Sun of a b!tch. Retina damage is a thing, Darlings – those black and iridescent outlines you can see when you close your eyes, aren’t anything good.
Neon purple base, and then 8 different glitters going on right now. 3 shimmer glitters, 2 types of AB glitters, and 3 glitter pigment additives – again you’ll need to spackle this look on… swipe and smooth. Think like you’re patching a drywall with fabulousness – in Liberace’s parlour! Fabulousness!
Make sure when you’re applying the glitter mix; to keep some areas exposed – reveal conceal is the game… keep a little bit of peek-a-book base colour there.
There’s a cosmos (ha, pun) of base and glitter additive colours you can dabble with; e.i. army green base colour, with pink, electric orange and light mauve glitter. What ever you can think of, nothing is too crazy, and it’s messy – so you can be as heavy handed as you like, and no-one will know the difference.
I finished my feature talon with a cute little heart, using a small blot of the same glitter mix. It really makes the whole look pop and adds something a little playful to a very, very dark look.
So my Darlings, as you may have noticed I’m casually obsessed (like Single White Female) with images coming back from space exploration. There’s something so wondrous about outer-space, that the more we discover, the more the Mythical aspects are dying off and it becomes clinical and scientific. A little sad and morose, but none the less extraordinary.
So what you think, Darling?
Share your experiences with eye-banging the sky. You like it dark, light or in-between? If you’re a Twilighter… the doors there. Don’t let me slap you on the way out. Also, sharks hunt during twilight hours, so … go for a swim next time!
