Ultra-Fabulous-Marine Blue

…with Geometric gloss and matte print.

I’ve been obsessed with Ultramarine blue since my older brother began dabbling in Warhammer – enter the Space Marines (and their signature colour). My lust for this colour only got worse, once I was told not to touch the figurines… I coped by touching the model paint instead!

I’m in love with this look and the hue is perfect, considering we’re approaching summer. To offset the strong blue hue I added a simple nude feature talon – fully glossed. I also created a layered glossy geometric overlay to make the matted base Ultramarine really pop!

Super fresh and fun, with a just the right amount of drama. I keep doing that thing; where I wet my hands and then see how long it takes for the matte and gloss to separate – Yes. It is odd. But, its my water AND HANDS.

More Marine, MORE MARINE!

More Gloss vs. Matte!

Fabulous, x

So what you think, Darling?

Share your experiences with matte on gloss; did you do a geometric, animal or random print?
